I go to any city i am always looking out for records,on this occasion the city was New Orleans, checking out i found two 45's of Otis Redding "You Left The Water Running" which were demo's, i knew that they were rare and got them at a good price.
As it turns out, this was a recorded at Fame Studios in Muscle in Muscle Shoals,Alabama in 1966. it was to be recorded by Wilson Pickett, but FAME owner Rick Hall asked Redding to record a demo to assist with the production. At some point,Stone Records released the dub wihout the Redding family's consent, and most of the copies were destroyed.thus, this 45 is very rare and highly valuable.
This is why i donated the 45 record with my business card to Stax Records where it belongs
